Walt Bowen |
Walt retired from Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) in 2008 where he worked as a program manager. Walt has been active in civic and political organizations. He served as President of the Olympia Kiwanis and the Eastside Neighborhood Assoc. He is a musician and currently is the Vice President of the Greater Olympia Dixieland Jazz Society and co-director of their major Westcoast jazz festival. In April 2008, Walt was elected President of the Senior Citizens' Lobby. Walt is a graduate of Seattle University with a major in Political Science and Journalism and is a US Army Veteran. Walt is married and resides in Olympia with his wife Karen. |

Bruce Reeves |
Bruce retired from state service in 1981, and has continued to be an active volunteer. Bruce is currently serving as a volunteer on the Legislative Committee for the Washington State School Retirees’ Association and he is the Immediate Past President of the Washington State Senior Citizens’ Lobby. Bruce holds a position as an appointed member of the Access to Justice Board under the jurisdiction of the Washington State Supreme Court. Bruce is married and resides in Olympia with his wife Margie and has four children and nine grandchildren. |

Karen Bowen |
Karen retired from the State of Washington DSHS in 2007 where she worked as a Project Manager in Information Technology. Karen is a former member of the Olympia Heritage Commission and is a Board Member of the Olympia Historical Society and a member of the Olympia Genealogical Society. Karen is a graduate of Seattle University with a major in Humanities. She loves to write, paint, cook, and garden. Karen resides in Olympia with her husband, Walt and her three cats, Nhu Tu, Hua Tu and Hestor Tu.
